The accolade was announced during the Global Leadership Gathering in South Africa on 17th October 2016. It was based on public surveys conducted across all MTN markets in African and the Middle East. You can read more about it on MTN Uganda’s Facebook page where it appears in its entirety A reputable market research and insights company called Dashboard collected the data using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) which is monitored on a quarterly basis. Respondents were asked for their views on network performance across different operators and each of the scores for the respective operators matched against each other to obtain the relative NPS. Uganda came top with the biggest positive NPS among all markets. This marks the first time that the MTN Group has handed out such an award. Plans are for the Best Network Experience Award to be an annual accolade within the MTN Group. MTN Uganda has also been recognised as having the widest and best quality network in the country.  The telco has recorded over 1.3 million smartphones on its network tapping into its 4G internet infrastructure. “We are committed to continue investing in our network to ensure that our customers not only have the best network experience but also world class products and services.
