Although they come with some similarities, they’ve also got their differences, and in this article, we will be pitting them against each other as we delve into the specs, features, price, similarities, and differences.

Realme GT2 Pro vs Xiaomi 12 Pro: Key Specs

Realme GT2 Pro vs Xiaomi 12 Pro: Design and Build Quality

Both devices feature very similar designs as they come with a 6.7-inch QHD+ LTPO super AMOLED display screen, with support for an adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate. While the Realme GT2 Pro comes with a punch-hole cutout to the left, the Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a punch-hole cut out in the middle. The build quality of both smartphones is pretty similar. The Xiaomi 12 Pro weighs just about 205g, while the Realme device weighs just slightly lower (200g). The Realme and Xiaomi 12 Pro are very slim phones, measuring 163.2 x 74.7 x 8.2 mm and 163.6 x 74.6 x 8.2 mm, respectively. With that, they should fit comfortably into any palm.

Camera

On both devices, you get a 32-megapixel front-facing camera. And considering they are both flagship smartphones, we were expecting them to feature support for 4K video recording. However, what you get is 1080p recording at 30 or 60fps. In addition to that, they both feature electronic image stabilization. While the front-facing cameras on both smartphones don’t support 4K, the rear cameras on both smartphones do. You can shoot 4K videos at 24fps on both of them. The Realme GT2 Pro is packed with a triple camera tray of 50 MP wide sensor, 50 MP ultrawide sensor, and 3 MP microscope sensor. The Xiaomi 12 Pro, on the other hand, takes it a step further with its 50 MP telephoto sensor.

Battery and Fast Charge

The Realme GT2 Pro edges the Xiaomi 12 Pro in this area. It is powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging, while the Xiaomi 12 Pro is powered by a slightly lower 4600mAh battery that supports a whopping 120W fast charging.

Verdict

Although they both have a lot of similarities, I think the Xiaomi smartphone edges the Realme GT2 Pro in some major areas. For instance, the Xiaomi 12 Pro features three 50-megapixel cameras – including a telephoto sensor for better zoom. But all you get on the Realme GT2 Pro is a 3-megapixel microscope. Furthermore, even though the Realme smartphone features a slightly bigger battery (5000mAh) than Xiaomi’s 4600mAh battery, Xiaomi makes up for that with its 120W fast charging support. We’re going with the Xiaomi 12 Pro, at least on paper. As we all know, a smartphone’s true experience comes when you finally get to use it. Also, bearing in mind that these specs are overkill for the market today, we reckon you will be happy with either device. What are your thoughts?
