Your health insurance helps you cover unexpected medical costs such as a check-up, medicine, treatments, hospitalization and so much more. It can even cover surgical expenses. This is why it’s important to opt for a good health insurance plan. In this article, we’ll be showing you how to subscribe to a family or individual health insurance on the Reliance HMO website.

What is Reliance HMO?

Reliance HMO is an online health insurance app that uses data science and telemedicine to improve medical care access to Nigerians. They offer a convenient method of opting for and accessing health insurance across many hospitals in the nation.

How Does the Health Insurance on Reliance Work?

Reliance HMO is partners with over 150,000 hospitals. Once you pay for a plan, you can select the nearest hospital to you on your enrollment form to access health care. You don’t need to place any calls before going to the hospital. Simply walk in and when you’re asked for your HMO, provide the ID generated for you on the Reliance app. You can also chat with a doctor at any time of the day. Once you’re enrolled, simply tap on the ‘Consult a Doctor’ option on the menu of your app or the website. The doctor will ask you for more details about your condition, give you basic advice, and if applicable a prescription for simple over-the-counter (OTC) medication. The app also allows you to choose from their available plans. Each of these plans has flexible payment methods that can be remitted monthly, quarterly, or annually. For any inquiries or emergencies, they have a customer care hotline you can call. And if you do have a good health track, you’d be refunded 20% of your annual payment.
