The acquisition put about 300 million people in Jiji’s access within the five markets. In Nigeria alone, Jiji has more than six million unique active users and 50,000 professional sellers listing more than one million items. This puts it high in the ranks of Nigeria’s e-commerce.

What happens after OLX becomes Jiji?

OLX has started sending out messages informing users signed up for the service that they’ve taken steps to improve buyer and seller experience by partnering with Walie Holdings Ltd. Walie Holdings Ltd. owns Jiji.com.ug, which will power a new website and experience where you can continue to buy and sell just like you used to do on OLX. However, starting 20 June 2019 when you the OLX website, it will automatically redirect you to Jiji.com.ug, but you will still be able to sign in and continue using your existing account there, without having to create a new one. For the purposes of continuing the service, OLX will transfer your account details (including your personal information that you have provided) and your active advertisements to Walie Holdings Ltd on 14 June 2019.
